Solar shades are an excellent way to control both the amount of light and the amount of heat that come in through a window opening. We have a large selection of solar screen fabrics to choose from that allow different amounts of sunlight into a room. Blackout fabrics are great for bedrooms and only allow a small amount of light in around the edge of the window. But in a room where the view is important, we offer fabrics that have up to 25% openess.

Solar shades are available in a wide variety of fabrics, colors, and weaves. The colors include white, beige, gray, brown, & black, as well as others. Because it is possible to keep the view while shielding the sun, solar shades are a very popular solution for high-rise buildings. They are also popular for many commericial applications as well. We offer custom made painted or upholstered wood cornices as an option to conceal the shades when in the raised position, and aluminum headboxes are available as well.

The standard shade comes with clutch operation and a choice of colors of plastic or metal bead chain. We also carry the classic spring roller as an option. Glover Shade also specializes in motorized solutions for many different applications. While the spring and motorized options are inherently safe for children, the clutch and bead chain can also be made child-safe.
